Heather has been asking me for weeks to post a few pictures from our new home that we bought back in May, but I kept putting it off saying that it wasn’t finished yet. Well, over the weekend I reached the realization that it may be YEARS before it is really done (especially with how many projects we are working on all at once) so I might as well go ahead and share some of our progress! The picture above is the exterior and the adorable door frame wreath I bought from Etsy. And below if the living room when we first moved in, and the work in progress on the right.
You can probably tell by the picture, but we redid the floors and repainted all the walls. We originally had a tan-green color throughout the house, and after 8 different samples of paint (yes, we spent over $100 on paint SAMPLES alone) we finally picked Benjamin Moore’s Revere Pewter (aka, the most popular paint on Pinterest). I started with the fabric for the couch pillows and then miracle of all miracles found a matching love seat for sale at Target, and built the room around those two pieces. Here are some more accent shots:
And of course, my favorite purchase of the room- my pair of lamps from At Home. My husband may have cried a little over how expensive they were… but honestly, I love them so much they were worth every penny. Plus, I bought pretty much everything else for the room online at a discount so I figure I can splurge a little here and there!
We still have to figure out window treatments for throughout the living room, but we are getting there!
