The hubs and I have LOTS going on this week. He has clinicals the majority of the week and I have a publishing party, a Pure Barre grand opening party, and our 2nd annual Halloween party that I’m co-hosting so this week it’s all about easy meals from our freezer and leftovers. I just bought some fruits and veggies and snack type stuff basically to round us out for the week. I tried to keep it under $20 because I’ve got to go out and buy a bunch of Halloween party stuff, but that didn’t happen.
I realized when I got home though that Publix had charged me full price for the carrots and peanuts which made me several dollars over the $20 mark instead of just a couple. Needless to say, I’m taking my receipt back to Publix for a refund when I get the chance. The best deal I got was the Stouffer’s frozen meal. Who doesn’t love Stouffer’s lasagna? It’s usually around $7 at Publix but they had it on sale for $3.99, then I paired it with this $1.50/1 coupon to get it for only $2.49! That one dish will feed us for a few meals too so it’s a lot of bang for our buck!
Everything I bought but the bananas was on sale (well, supposedly at least–note peanuts & carrots) and I only had 1 coupon in tow. I do have to give a shout out to the hubs who made us some AWESOME burgers last night. He mixes A.1. & Worcestershire sauce into the ground beef which we used from our freezer and paired with the BOGO buns for a cheap and delicious meal.
Do you get charged incorrectly at Publix a lot? It always pays to check your receipt! I feel like it’s been happening to me more recently.
