Hello lovely readers! My name is Kiley and I blog over at HK header

I’m a 24 year old teacher from Dallas and I blog about many random things, so I guess you could call me a Lifestyle blogger! I also like to talk about my favorite beauty and skin care products.

I was so excited when Heather asked me to do a guest post. I had the wonderful opportunity of meeting Heather at Blissdom – a blogging conference that took place in Nashville during the spring and will be in my hometown Dallas next year! – and I loved when I found out what her blog was about because I am the total OPPOSITE of a frugal gal. I’m a shopaholic to my very core, so as I grow up (and learn how much paying bills can suck…amirite?), I have been trying very hard to curb those spending tendencies and find a sale whenever I can!

My biggest love in life is beauty products. I love makeup. I love skin care. But most frustrating of all? The things I love tend to be the most expensive of the bunch. If you want good skin care, you have to shell out more than a few bucks.

Today I wanted to show you guys some of my favorite products for the fall as well as a deal I found!

I have pretty fair and combination skin, meaning my skin can get SUPER oily but also tends to have a few dry patches. When fall comes around and the temperatures drop, my skin can get downright patchy and scary – to the point where I don’t even need a Halloween mask. ;)

My favorite skincare products to combat this are the Caudalie Beauty Elixer, the Tea Tree oil from The Body Shop, and a good lip balm like Nuxe Reve de Miel.

Fall skin care

  • The Beauty Elixer by Caudalie is something I use before and after I apply makeup. I first spritz some on my cleansed skin as a toner, then I spray some on after I apply my makeup to help my makeup look dewy as well as stay put all day long!

  • This Tea Tree oil by The Body shop has been a lifesaver for me. I dab some of this on whenever I see a blemish coming along, and I SWEAR it works wonders. It also keeps any spots on my face from looking dry or cracked like they tend to do in the colder months.

  • Recently, I purchased this lip balm by Nuxe and I was blown away. This is like no other balm you have probably ever used. It does not look like a gloss, in fact, it has a very strange texture and goes on completely matte. It lasts for hours and will keep my lips so moisturized. I use this before I put on lip stick as well as before I go to bed.

I also wanted to share with you gals a great find from Sephora. Sephora is basically my mecca, y’all.

Origins is one of my favorite skin care brands, but I won’t lie – it’s expensive y’all! Right now, Sephora has a deal going on where you can get $70 worth of products from Origins for $39.50. The kit includes sample sizes of some of my favorite products such as the GinZing Eye Cream and the Frothy Face wash, as well as a full size of a product I had been dying to try, the Night-A-Mins Renewal Cream.

If you have never tried a product from Origins before but are looking for a great eye cream and night cream, I suggest going to your local Sephora and picking this kit up! Unfortunately, it looks like they have taken it down from their website, but any Sephora I have been to recently has had plenty.

Thanks Heather for letting me steal your blog today!
