Hey Heather and Jess’ readers! I’m Neely and I blog over at A Complete Waste of Makeup. Today I am going to talk to you about some splurge vs steals that I am loving!!
So I am a huuuuuge lip balm lover. Seriously its an addiction that only my 2 (yes 2) makeup bags in my purse know the depths of. I just love La Mer lip balm but if you don’t want to shell out $50 for it I highly suggest EOS which I also love! For less than $8 for a 2 pack you can have the same effect for a faction of the cost.
Who doesn’t love Mascara? My eye lashes are super dark but I still love to make my eyes pop. I was introduced to Dior Show Mascara because I got a sample in a birchbox, I loved it but not the price tag. I will say though for $7 Maybelline The Falsies gets the job done. Its seriously the best Mascara I have ever used and if you aren’t already using it…put the computer down and go get it now!!
When it comes to your face you can’t be too careful! I am a big believer of never going to sleep with makeup on. Honestly I don’t care how tired, or wine drunk (we’ve all been there) you are…wash that face! You will thank yourself in 20 years! When I was in college I was very into the entire Clinique system of cleansing, toner etc but honestly it’s expensive and as much as I wash my face I was going broke!! In steps Neutrogena Foaming Face Wash and Purpose Moisturizer. Y’all seriously the best 2 things in my bathroom! You can get both at Target for a combined total of around $13, if you think about how often those things need to be purchased its a steal. I have super sensitive skin and it makes my skin feel so clean and soft. Go get you some!!
