Some of you may remember Heather’s post welcoming Baby Leighton into the world a few weeks back. Our baby girl is now almost 7 weeks old, and growing like a little weed! I’ve always been a frugal person, but adding motherhood into the mix means I’m learning a whole new bag of tricks to keep costs down, which I will be sharing along the way in the coming months.
My main impressions of being a mom so far? Motherhood is amazing, and I can’t believe how much I already love this little one. Baby items are EXCESSIVELY expensive. And lastly, I am 100% addicted to buying headbands for our daughter on Etsy. (Need some recs for some good shops? Message me- I am now an Etsy headband expert!)
I know that many of our readers have families themselves, so I’d love to hear from you all about your best money-saving tips when it comes to having kids. Comment below, and if we get some good ones I’ll feature your tip in an upcoming post! We all have something to share and something to learn from each other.

I’ve been using them for almost 2 years. (Pull-ups are another story -I’ve yet to find a good generic pull-up. The real ones stay on SO much better.)
