This is a great, easy recipe that Heather tried out recently and we just had to share with you all- really, does it get any easier than 4 ingredients? It is typically made on the stovetop, but there is also a crockpot cooking method available as well (see bottom of recipe.) Enjoy, and let us know what you think!
1 stick butter (may substitute margarine for lighter option)
3-4 chicken breasts
1 package Italian Seasonings Salad Dressing Mix
Juice from 2 lemons
1. Melt 1 stick of butter in pan.
2. Layer on chicken breasts (or chicken tenders if you prefer!)
3. Sprinkle with 1 pkg. Italian Seasonings Salad Dressing Mix
4. Add juice of 2 lemons.
5. Cook until tender. Put the lid on at first, then take off at the end in order to brown and absorb seasonings.
This recipe can be done in crock pot! For chicken breast: Cook on Hi: 4-5 hours, on Low: 6-8 hours. When finished cooking, take out, shred chicken with 2 forks, and ladle on the juices.
