Sometimes I forget that some of the fun, exciting things we have posted on this blog have not been seen by our newer readers, so today we are going to play a little game of show and tell! I had a friend from church recently ask to see examples of good shopping trip receipts (the proof is in the documentation, right?) because she couldn’t believe saving so much was possible. Without any further delay, here are the two that make me smile the most:
My best Publix receipt to date:

Thanks to the amazing “Italian Days” sale at Publix and some incredible coupon stacking, I spent $8.03 and saved $116.35. It was also the first time that I had shopped at Publix and essentially paid nothing except sales tax- and the order included meat and fresh produce. It was a good day at Publix!
The CVS receipt that even shocked my husband:
I think my husband still secretly believes I made this one up… but I didn’t. After 7 months of the CVS ECB system, I had spent a total of less than $25 between spring and summer, and saved $840.60. The result? We STILL have toiletries stockpiled from 2009 that we are using. I can’t remember the last time I bought a toiletry item… and when that day comes, I’ll start CVS’ing again!
Do you have amazing receipts to share? Send them to us and we would love to post them- we love to see the great things our readers are doing. And don’t forget, even if it’s only $20 you save, that’s $20 you didn’t have before. So celebrate even the small victories!

@Savingmoneyll you should do an annual total savings. Don’t you log all that stuff?
