This is yet another recipe I found from Pinterest. Pinterest is my new go to when I’m wanting to try a new recipe, make my Christmas list, or get inspired for some decorating ideas. If you aren’t following me yet, please do so here!
The image above is the pin I originally found from food.com. I thought it looked pretty good and anything that utilizes the crockpot, I’m a big fan of! Things just seem to get busier and busier around here!
What I really liked about this recipe was how it had the onions and green peppers in it to give it additional flavor. Enjoy this recipe on a cool day!
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup green pepper, chopped
- 1/2 cup onion, chopped
- 2 tablespoons butter or 2 tablespoons margarine
- 1 (10 ounce) can cream of chicken soup
- 1 1/2 cups milk
- 1 lb Velveeta cheese, cubed
- 1 (10 ounce) package frozen chopped broccoli
- Directions:

Sauté onion and green pepper in butter.

Combine all ingredients on low in crockpot for 3-4 hours. Do not add salt. Add pepper to taste

I Thought this was AWFUL!! I was more like a thick dip less than 2 min after being out of the crock pot in our bowls. I know its called brocolli & “cheese” but the cheese was WAYYYYY to intense. I would not recommend this t

I hate to hear that. We didn’t have a problem with that until the next day and then we just added water which takes care of the problem. Feel free to add water. It should resolve the issue. Thanks so much.
What do you consuder a green pepper? Bell pepper?
I tried this and it was great. I changed it a little and left out the onions and peppers and also added some Sweet Sue chicken broth to thin it instead of adding water.
