This is one of the most fun showers that DH & I had thrown for us when we were engaged, and when I found out I was helping hostess a shower for my dear friends Lauren & Will I knew this is the shower I’d want to throw for them. This shower was hostessed by 3 bridesmaids (including me) and was a perfect summer shower.
The shower was even enjoyed by the men in the crowd because we had plenty of chilled Mexican beers and margaritas. Meredith (whose house we partied at) got all kinds of Mexican banners, made little black mustaches, and even had pretty mason jars for the marg’s.
Salsaritas catered the meat for us which was so amazing. When I picked it up, they also provided me with the silver serving container and a way to keep it warm. Let me tell you that the Salsaritas ground beef and chicken made for some mean tacos and nachos! I’m a big fan of Salsaritas anyway, but talking with John (the owner of our local Salsaritas in downtown Homewood) made me love it even more. He’s such a nice guy and really willing to help however he can w/ catering and always has a smile on his face.
We had Mexican fiesta music playing in the background, white lights strung around the patio, and a table set w/ chairs, a sombrero, and a few fresh flowers. I’m not going to lie to you though, my favorite part was probably the margarita cupcakes!
As you can see this shower was a blast! I’d highly recommend it if you are throwing a shower anytime soon. It had a relaxed vibe which was fun & it was just good to catch up with everyone!
