It really makes me sad how many families eat out every meal and it is the “norm” that mom or dad don’t cook. I grew up in a family where my mom cooked Sunday-Thursday, I took leftovers for lunch each day, and we all sat down for dinner together. Not only was it about good food but it was about reconnecting around the dinner table w/ my parents and my sister.

I certainly hope that one day when Eric (DH) & I have kids that we continue this tradition. I’m so thankful that E-Mealz taught me how to cook so that I can provide that for my family one day.  I notice a difference in our night even with just the two of us in whether we sit down and connect at the dinner table or not.  I think it’s time we made time for our families again!

I’m writing about this because it’s Family Week! And in order to celebrate the family, E-Mealz is celebrating dinner at home with those you love for the week, so make an effort to “eat in” and with your family. Download their free menu to prepare for family week! The Family Week menu is a free pdf file download from the left hand navigation of their website.
