I got inspired by this blog post by Vintage Wanna Bee after seeing her frugal window decor. I figured even I who will openly admit that I’m not crafty, artistic or anything else in between could maybe handle this. Reason why? It required no creativity on my part, sewing, hot gluing, drawing, painting, or decoupaging. Easy is about all I can handle, folks, when it comes to crafting.

Here’s the pic that I was first inspired by. So, step 1 was to put up the garland I bought for 50% off at Hobby Lobby.

Luckily, DH was around to help me balance on the couch, tie up the garland, and get it centered.  I simply tied the white ribbon (also on sale for 50% off at Hobby Lobby) around the garland to the plastic valance at the top. Next, I began to tie wide green ribbon I had on hand to different lengths across to connect the Christmas ornament balls (which I got on clearance at the end of last Christmas season) to the garland.

Once I was done with that, I got out pieces of the bottom of our Christmas tree we picked out today and covered up the white ribbon at the top and tried to make it look more real. After that, I put up the red ribbon (I got from the Dollar Tree) in the center. Seriously, how cute is this idea?

In total it cost me $5 to make. It was $1 for the ribbon and $4 for the garland. I already had the ornaments, ribbon, and Christmas tree limbs.
I absolutely love it!

Best part-I feel semi-crafty!
