Many of you may have heard me mention that we were planning a clothes swap party on our Facebook page. I got the idea from my friend Brittany who runs Beauty Girl Mag when she put up this post. Well, thanks to the girls from Birmingham Party Planning, I’ve got pictures from the event to show you all.
Have you heard of a clothes swap before? Well, if not let me suggest that you take note! This event was so fun! We had about 12 girls that got together, everyone brought some food, cleaned out their closet & we all swapped our clothes, accessories and jewelry. Seriously, it was wonderful because it made me go through my closet and comb out everything just so I’d have some stuff to bring to the party.
I know we always hear if you haven’t worn it in over a year, then toss it out. Well that’s easier said than done when you’re not replacing it but this way I knew I was cleaning out things I didn’t wear to hopefully get some new stuff I might actually wear and love. The clothes swap started out really organized with everyone going 1 by 1 sifting through organized piles of clothes and dresses hung with care but it slowly turned into a free for all where everyone just got to go ahead and take their pick of the litter. I will say that it was a great thing to have that clothes rack & the clothes hangers to put dresses & jackets on, so if you have one I would highly recommend it.
I walked out with a new 2 new pairs of earrings, a necklace, a dress, 2 workout tops, and multiple blouses and other tops…..for FREE! How great is that?! Another positive to the clothes swap was that after it was over, anything that was left we donated to charity. It really was a positive thing in so many aspects.
