Prepare yourself for this one, I’m about to share a recipe with you that involves chocolate, you probably already have most of the ingredients at home already and you make it in the microwave! Can you say danja?! Seriously….I stumbled upon this recipe last night and knew it was too fabulous not to share as our Fabulous Friday post. All pictures and the recipe credit goes here.
5 MINUTE CHOCOLATE MUG CAKE
4 tablespoons flour
4 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons cocoa
1 egg
3 tablespoons milk
3 tablespoons oil
3 tablespoons chocolate chips (optional)
A small splash of vanilla extract
1 large coffee mug (Microwave Safe)
4 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons cocoa
1 egg
3 tablespoons milk
3 tablespoons oil
3 tablespoons chocolate chips (optional)
A small splash of vanilla extract
1 large coffee mug (Microwave Safe)
Add dry ingredients to mug, and mix well. Add the egg and mix thoroughly before pouring in the milk and oil in. Keep mixing. Add the optional chocolate chips next (who makes that an option!) and vanilla extract, and mix again…
Put your mug in the microwave and cook for three minutes at 1000 watts. The cake will rise over the top of the mug, but don’t be alarmed! Allow it to cool a little, and tip out onto a plate if desired.
EAT ! (this can serve two if you want to feel slightly more virtuous).
Why is this the most dangerous cake recipe in the world? Because we are all only 5 minutes away from warm, gooey, delicious chocolate cake any time, night or day.
Seriously, how cool is that?! Once I get back from Vegas (trip next Thurs-Sun! EXCITED!) I’ll have to treat myself to this for sure. We have really been enjoying you talented ladies’ projects that you’ve been linking up so please keep ‘em coming!

This recipe is genius! Thanks for sharing =D
I have this same exact recipe (word for word) and I found that adding butterscotch chips and almond extract make it even tastier! Otherwise it can be kinda bland (unless you use fudge/chocolate syrup, caramel and/or ice cream with it as well)
Can't wait to give this receipe a try. Wouldn't it make a cute Christmas gift giving the dry ingredients in the mug, with the reciepeon a tag, with "Just Add" I linked you up to my blog and I'm following. Thanks for the inspiration!
