I know I am such a nerd for saying this, but I actually loved one part of going back to school every year and that reason was the school supplies. I loved all the pretty folders, organizing agents, pens, binders, etc and would spend time decorating most of them as well. However, I know at this time of the year every year my mom wanted to pull her hair out. She was stressed, had a million things to do to get us ready and the least of her worries was if we could find just the right Lisa Frank or Schimmel folder for me to put my graded papers in. Do you guys remember these little jewels?! Did you have a million of them, too?
Well, luckily for moms everywhere E-mealz has compiled a free Back to School checklist you can download here. All you have to do is give them your email address. You’ll find the download on the left lower portion of the home page. The (over 20) tips are a wide range of things that amidst the chaos you may forget.
When I ordered the list, here’s what the email I got from E-mealz stated:

New follower – saw you on Take It From Me's follow list. http://cheapskate4life.blogspot.comI had that EXACT Lisa Frank folder!! Haha! I used to love those things! And getting new school supplies was the highlight of my year! I remember that the "cool" kids had the 96-count Crayola crayon box with the sharpener, but I always had to get a regular box.
I am a teacher and I was like a kid in the candy store buying supplies for my classroom yesterday! It was so much fun (although i spent way to much money, but my classroom is in NEED of a makeover, since I spend so much time there)! Can't wait to meet my son's teacher tomorrow for kinder pre-assessment and hopefully get his list so we can go shopping for him!!!Those folders brought back so many memories! Too funny!
I always loved shopping for school supplies – my favorite part of back-to-school! My son starts in 2 weeks- ugh!
Omg. Lisa Frank. Just brought good memories back! Who remembers the "trapper keeper?"
