Spring Cleaning: The Kitchen

Upon first glance, you may not think our kitchen looks that bad, but let me assure you that I spent over an hour last night scrubbing the gunk off the inside of the microwave, mopping the sticky floors, and while sweeping running across a new friend…not! a huge spider which startled me, I screamed.  Some of the participants in this mere incident may not have made it out alive and obviously it wasn’t me who had a tragic end.  Anyway, there were just small things you don’t think to clean everyday like the cabinets that get food stains etc on them that needed a good scrubbing, so scrub I did.  I even broke a sweat.

Lucky for me, my DH took care of the fridge, I mean look at it….no organization at all.  Countless items needed to be thrown away and I’ll be honest it just kind of smelled.  Did I really just admit all of that to you?  This is borderline embarrassing.  Ok, now for the glory of the after!

I don’t know if you can tell or not but those floors are sparkling, the cabinets have been returned to their non dingy state as well as the sink.  And now for the “oooooh, ahhhhh” moment…the fridge.

Doesn’t it looks so much better?!  Thanks so much to my sweet husband for organizing it.  Another shout out goes to him, because when I got home last night from teaching Pure Barre, he had already cleaned both bathrooms top to bottom.

Next project, under the kitchen sink…..I’ve been dreading this one.  Looks like that’s what my lunch break will be used for today, yea…….Any suggestions?  There’s just not much room in our kitchen and all of our appliances have to fit here.  I don’t think the plastic bin idea will solve this problem.
