I would like to introduce you all to Alaina from The Fairhope Foodie. I have recently stumbled upon her blog and have fallen in love with the tried and true receipes she shares. I hope you all benefit from her guest post and blog as much as I have. Feel free to let us know if you have any questions about cooking, recipes, what you like about this article, etc. Take it away, Alaina!
When Heather asked me to do a guest post I thought, “Who me? Really?” So, here I am! I have always loved cooking. It started years ago with the Food Network. I watched A LOT of Food Network! Last October I started couponing and wanted to start saving more money by cooking more often. I decided to start The Fairhope Foodie to share my recipes and ideas and to show people that you can still cook like a rock star while clipping coupons and saving a ton of money! This has been such a great experience. I am trying recipes that I have been holding onto for years. I was in such a rut with my cooking. I would cook the same things over and over again. I would hear my husband say, “Are we really having taco salad again? We just had that last week!” I am proud to say that I have not fixed taco salad in months!
I put all my recipes on the The Fairhope Foodie to share with you guys! As of now, I am only posting the recipe after I have cooked it myself. Sometimes I change things up and so I want to make sure that the recipe actually works before I share it. I have posted over 100 recipes since making the blog last November! I thought I might share with you my Top Ten. It was very hard narrowing it down, but I came up with some of my favorites. Check them out! I hope this helps you get out of your cooking rut as well!
Baked Veggie Macaroni
Spinach Stuffed Chicken Breasts
Zucchini Corn Cake Muffins
Asparagus Pasta with Pecans
Jennifer’s Pasta Alfredo Bake
Turkey Mini Meat Loaves
Taco Chili Mac
Sesame and Ginger Chicken
Italian Sausage Calzones
Apple Dumplings
When I cook and eat, I believe that all things are okay in moderation. I enjoy eating. Probably too much! I try to eat and snack healthy during the day at work so that I can enjoy a yummy dinner at night when I come home. I also love to bake. I have an awesome Avocado Pound Cake on the blog too! There is something therapeutic in baking. You can only cook dinner at night, but you can bake any time of the day!
I hope that you find some recipes that you enjoy. Pull up a chair and stay a while!
Thanks for letting me visit…
